Although nothing, and I mean nothing, can compete with Michigan in the fall, Alex and I do want to explore as much of the Cincinnati area as we can while we are here. And I don't like being a weekend couch potato. I recently discovered a blog titled 365 Things to Do in Cincinnati, and their recent post on Blooms and Berries Farm seemed like a perfect way to enjoy an 85 and sunny October afternoon. (Seriously. 85. Eighty-freaking-five. Gorgeous. I'm loving it.)
Here are a few of our highlights:
Unique photo opportunities!
They have a corn maze and a sunflower path. We opted for the sunflower path. Mazes irritate me. It's a patience thing. Or lack thereof...
I mean seriously, does a fall day get any better than this?
They have a petting zoo, and you can buy food to feed them.
And lots of fresh, fall products for sale, including:
gorgeous mums,
fresh produce (I picked out a butternut squash and a spaghetti squash),
pumpkins (of course, we got one of those!),
and gourds galore!
They even had a tented area where you could purchase lunch. Granted, it was only grilled hot dogs and potato chips, but if you had whiny kids with a grumbly tummy, it would come in handy. Alex did try their 'fresh apple-cider.' Verdict: sub par. We did not purchase any to take home as we are holding out for the real thing from Michigan. All in all, it was a fabulous fall Sunday fun-day!
You- short on patience! Please say it isn't so!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHear that mom, Michigan cider is a must when she comes home for the visit.
